NVIDIA Smart Scan tool
Since its been a while since I last updated my nVidia drivers (motherboard and graphics drivers) I went to the nVidia site to see if any updated drivers were available.
Checking graphics drivers were no issues, since I use a standard GeForce 8800 card.
But I decided to check for motherboarddrivers using their ''smart scan tool''! A super tool, which should be able to detect the correct north/southbridge and then find the correct drivers. However, it didnt really do the job.
My Hardware Motherboard: ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus Northbridge: 650i Southbridge: 570 SLI CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600
The tool detected my southbridge as the correct, 570 SLI and because of this, it wanted me to go with the nForce 570 SLI AMD / NFP 3400 drivers. Which would be fine, if I was using the complete 570 chipset, and running AMD ...
Except for this "minor" glitch, the tool works rather good and hopefully they will fix theese errors in a not too distant future! :D
